Correspondence: * Attorney at Law, LLB (Munich), LLM (Victoria), Fellow of the International Bar Association for the ICTY and ICTR Appeals Chamber from 20042006 (email: frederic_bostedt{at}yahoo.com). I am grateful to Nicole Barrett and Steve Kostas for comments on an earlier draft, and Claire Tomeï for her patience. The usual caveats apply. This note was completed in April 2007.
The year 2006 proved to be another productive year for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991. This article examines the eight judgements rendered by the Tribunal in 2006 and highlights the principal developments in international humanitarian and criminal law at the Tribunal.
